The Bible and Critical Theory

Reviewing books in The Bible and Critical Theory

The Bible and Critical Theory publishes several book reviews in each issue. Professor George Aichele of Adrian College is the Book Reviews Editor for The Bible and Critical Theory.

Book publishers

Please send advance information to the Book Reviews Editor, rather than sending him books directly, so that a reviewer can be allocated and administration tasks made easier.

Book reviewers

Potential book reviewers should email their interest in reviewing to Professor Aichele, including their area/s of interest.

Book reviews should be 1000–1500 words in length. They should include not only a summary of the book, but also critical engagement on the part of the reviewer with the book. Reviews should be submitted in a timely manner (preferably within two months of receipt of the book).

Reviewers are not paid but receive a free copy of the review book, as well as online access to the issue of The Bible and Critical Theory in which their review appears.

A list of books currently available for review can be found at George Aichele's web page. If you have been allocated a book to review, please advise Professor Aichele when you have received it.
